The Quality Chop House celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019.

We are hugely proud and humbled to be the custodians of this institution – although its history isn’t leant on too much. Our menu is contemporary whilst simultaneously respectful to and proud of the site’s ‘meaty’ past – in fact, we even opened a butcher’s next door!

Our executive chef Shaun Searley has been on the pass since day 1 of QCH’s current incarnation in 2012 and is passionate about working with the best suppliers we can find in the British Isles – a passion which with our head chef Nathan Chapman and the rest of the kitchen team.

We love running this unique restaurant (yes, even those Grade-II listed benches…) and are honoured it is so often chosen by our guests as the spot to celebrate something special – should this be the case please don’t hesitate to let us know when making the reservation. Our team, led by our GM Hannah Khoyratty, are always keen to make each experience as special as possible.

We are open for lunch & dinner Tuesday to Saturday and for lunch on Sundays. Please use the online booking system below – if your preferred table is not available do email us and we will do our best to make something work.

Private Room

Our first floor Private Room with its old French dining table, period features and abundant natural light has become a firm favourite of many regulars over the years. It seats 7 to 14 guests and you will have a waiter who looks after you throughout the duration of your meal.

Our Feasting Menus

We offer two feasting style menus for the table to share. Firstly, our £75 menu features favourite dishes from our current menu, with shared starters & snacks followed by a main course for the table with sides and a seasonal dessert.

Our £110 QCH classics menu offers a true feast with an additional fish course as well as some iconic dishes from our history – including our chicken liver parfait with truffle and our iconic confit potatoes for the table.

Both menus can be modified to suit all dietary requirements. Our first floor Private Room is away from the main restaurant and therefore we offer this convivial feasting menu rather than an a la carte option.

On Sundays, we serve the main course with an array of sides, including Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. You can find a sample menu here.

Cancellation Policy

We kindly request at least 2 weeks’ notice for cancellations. In the unlikely event of less notice, we will regrettably request a cancellation fee of £40 per person. Cancellations on the day will incur a full menu fee.

A credit card is required to secure this booking. Your card will only be charged in the event of a late cancellation or no show.
